Frequently (or infrequently, as the case may be) Asked Questions

Here are the questions you've asked, haven't asked, always wanted to ask, etc... Please feel free to send more our way to further the evolution of our website.

Deep Earth Farm? What kind of name is that?

I'm a paragraph. It all breaks down to soil, and it's health. For a fantastic garden, there is a lot that is happening in that soil. Microbial activity. Fungal activity. Balanced pH. Heaps of nutrients and organic matter. We aim to foster deep healthy topsoil with our practices. That's why we have no till beds. That's why we never use chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We want some deep healthy Earth.

Why aren't you organic again?

I'm a paragraph. While we have standards that at times exceed organic, we are not certified organic. We feel that organic has lost much of it's meaning, it's standards sometimes being too low. If it's not something that we believe in, why pay for the certification? We welcome customers instead, to see our setup, and know from first hand experience that their growers do their best to follow practices that are healthier for us and the environment.
